Getting There

  • Hiking

    If you are at the St. Mary Visitor Center, start by heading west on the St. Mary Entrance Road. Continue on this road until you reach the intersection with Going-to-the-Sun Road. Turn left onto Going-to-the-Sun Road. After approximately 1 mile, you will reach the Hidden Lake Trailhead parking area on your right. The trailhead is well marked, and you will see signs indicating the start of the Hidden Lake Trail.

  • Hiking

    From the Many Glacier Hotel, make your way to the Grinnell Picnic Area, which is accessible via the Many Glacier Road. Follow the road south until you reach the junction with Going-to-the-Sun Road. Once you reach the junction, head west on Going-to-the-Sun Road. After about 7 miles, the Hidden Lake Trailhead will be on your left. Look for the sign marking the trailhead entrance.

    Starting from the Apgar Visitor Center, walk east along the Lake McDonald shoreline until you reach the Going-to-the-Sun Road. From there, head north on the road for about 7 miles. The Hidden Lake Trailhead will be on your right side. Follow the signs to the trailhead.
