    If you're starting from the Apgar Visitor Center, head northeast on the Going-to-the-Sun Road. After approximately 0.5 miles, you will reach the trailhead for the Avalanche Lake Trail. Follow the signs for Avalanche Lake Trailhead, which is well marked. The trail begins at the end of the parking area.

    Take the Glacier Park Free Shuttle from Apgar Visitor Center towards Logan Pass. Get off at the Avalanche Lake stop. The trailhead is directly accessible from the bus stop, and you will see signs directing you to the Avalanche Lake Trail.
