Getting There

Car
From Cusco, take the road towards Sicuani. Drive on Route 3S for about 1.5 hours until reaching the town of Checacupe. In Checacupe, follow the signs to Pallata and then to Palcoyo. After about 45 minutes of driving through a narrow road and scenic views, you will arrive at the parking area near Palcoyo Rainbow Mountain Third View. Please note that you may need to pay a parking fee of approximately 5 PEN.

Public Transportation
Start at the main bus terminal in Cusco and take a bus to Sicuani. The bus ride typically costs around 15 PEN and takes about 2 hours. Once in Sicuani, transfer to a local minibus heading to Checacupe. After reaching Checacupe, you can hire a taxi or a shared taxi to take you to Palcoyo, which will take about 45 minutes and costs approximately 20 PEN per person.

Hiking
If you choose to hike from the parking area to the viewpoint, the trail is relatively easy and takes roughly 30 minutes. Make sure to wear appropriate hiking shoes and carry water, as the altitude can affect your stamina. The hike offers spectacular views of the colorful mountains along the way.
