Getting There

Car
If you are traveling by car within Nyungwe Forest National Park, start from the main entrance at the park headquarters. Drive towards the Nyungwe National Park visitor center along the main road. Continue on the road for approximately 10 kilometers until you reach the junction towards Colline Ibanda. Take the right turn at the junction and follow the signs towards Colline Ibanda. After about 5 kilometers, look for a dirt road on your left. PINDURA is located at the end of this road. Ensure your vehicle is suitable for rough terrain as the last part may require a 4x4.

Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, you can take a bus or shared taxi from Butare to Nyungwe Forest National Park. Upon reaching the park, you can hire a local motorcycle taxi (commonly known as 'moto') to get to PINDURA. Ensure to communicate the destination clearly to the driver. The fare for the motorcycle taxi should be negotiated beforehand; expect to pay around 2000 to 3000 Rwandan Francs. The moto will take you along the main park road and drop you off at the entrance to the dirt road leading to PINDURA.
