Walking
If you're starting from Edinburgh Waverley Train Station, exit the station and head towards the East. Walk down Market Street, then take a left onto North Bridge. Continue walking until you reach the junction with the Royal Mile. Turn right onto the Royal Mile and continue walking east. After about 15 minutes, you'll reach the Canongate area. The Palace of Holyroodhouse will be on your left, just past the Scottish Parliament Building. Look for the grand entrance at Canongate, Edinburgh EH8 8DX.

From Princes Street, you can catch a Lothian Bus number 35 or 36. Board the bus heading towards 'Holyrood'. The journey takes about 10-15 minutes. Disembark at the Holyrood stop. From there, walk back towards the Palace, which is located just a short distance ahead. Follow the signs or ask locals if you need assistance. The Palace of Holyroodhouse is located at Canongate, Edinburgh EH8 8DX.

If you prefer taking the tram, head to the nearest tram stop along Princes Street. Catch the tram heading towards 'York Place'. After a few stops, get off at the 'York Place' stop, and transfer to a tram heading towards 'Airport'. Disembark at 'Holyrood'. From there, it’s a short 5-10 minute walk to the Palace. You will see the Palace of Holyroodhouse located at Canongate, Edinburgh EH8 8DX.
