The East Coast of Barbados is a striking contrast to the more developed and bustling west coast. One of the most famous spots on the East Coast is Bathsheba. This stunning village is home to the iconic Soup Bowl, a world-renowned surfing spot that draws surfers from around the globe. Even if you're not a surfer, the sight of the massive waves crashing onto the shore is a spectacle to behold. The village itself is charming, with quaint cottages and friendly locals who are always ready to share a story or two. Another must-visit location is the Andromeda Botanic Gardens. These gardens are a horticulturist's dream, featuring a diverse range of exotic plants, flowers, and trees. The winding paths and serene ponds make for a perfect afternoon stroll. Don't forget to bring your camera, as the gardens provide endless photo opportunities. For those interested in history and culture, the East Coast offers several historic sites. Visit the Andromeda Botanic Gardens early in the morning to avoid the midday heat and enjoy a peaceful experience.
