Getting There

  • Bus

    From Avarua, the main town, take either the clockwise or anti-clockwise bus towards the eastern side of the island. The bus fare is NZ$5 per adult for a one-way trip. Ask the driver to drop you off near Vaimaanga Tapere in the Takitumu District. From the main road, it's a short walk to Ariki Adventures.

  • Taxi

    Taxis are available from anywhere on the island. A taxi from Muri to the airport will cost around NZ$40. Expect to pay around NZ$3 per kilometer. A short trip from a nearby location should cost a minimum of NZ$10 during the day and NZ$15 at night. Contact Mama Ru's Taxi at 51953.
