If you are traveling by car, start by navigating towards Hatsukaichi City. From Hiroshima, take the Sanyo Expressway (E2) and exit at Hatsukaichi IC. Follow Route 2 towards Miyajima. After about 10 minutes, you will reach the ferry terminal for Miyajima. Park your car in one of the designated parking areas. Parking fees are typically around 1000 yen for the day. From the ferry terminal, take the ferry to Miyajima Island (ferry costs about 1800 yen round trip). Once on the island, you can drive towards Mitokoura Shrine, which is about a 10-minute drive from the ferry terminal. Follow signs to Mitokoura Shrine, or use a navigation app to guide you.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a train from Hiroshima Station to Miyajimaguchi Station on the JR Sanyo Line. The journey takes about 30 minutes. From Miyajimaguchi Station, walk to the ferry terminal (about 5 minutes). Take the ferry to Miyajima Island, which costs around 1800 yen round trip. Once on the island, you can either walk or catch a local bus to Mitokoura Shrine. The bus ride will take approximately 15 minutes, with buses leaving regularly from the ferry terminal.
