For those using public transportation, you can start at Izukogen Station or Atami Station. From Izukogen Station, take the Izukogen Line to Odawara Station. From Odawara Station, transfer to the Hakone Tozan Railway and ride to Hakone Yumoto Station. At Hakone Yumoto Station, catch a bus heading to Motohakone, which will take you directly to Lake Ashinoko. The bus ride takes around 30 minutes, and the fare is approximately 1,000 yen.
