If you're traveling by car, head towards Kamigyo Ward in Kyoto. Use your GPS and enter the address: Kyotogyoen, Kamigyo Ward, Kyoto, 602-0881. You will find parking available nearby, but make sure to check for any parking fees which can range from 300 to 600 yen per hour. After parking, Jomei-mon Gate is just a short walk from the parking lot.

Public Transportation - Train
For those using public transportation, take the JR Line to Kyoto Station. From Kyoto Station, transfer to the Karasuma Line and head towards Kokusaikaikan Station. Get off at Marutamachi Station. From Marutamachi Station, you can either walk (approximately 15-20 minutes) or take a taxi directly to Jomei-mon Gate. A taxi ride will cost around 1,000 to 1,500 yen.

Public Transportation - Bus
You can also take a bus from Kyoto Station. Catch bus number 101 or 102 towards the Kyoto Imperial Palace. Get off at the Jomeimon-mae bus stop. The bus fare is approximately 230 yen. From the bus stop, it’s just a short walk to Jomei-mon Gate.
