Getting There

  • Train

    From Kyoto Station, take the Karasuma Line (green line) towards Kameoka. After 5 stops, get off at Demachiyanagi Station. The journey takes about 15 minutes. Once you exit the station, head north on the main road (Kamogawa River will be on your right) until you reach the intersection with Seiryucho.

  • Walking

    After exiting Demachiyanagi Station, turn left and walk along the Kamogawa River for approximately 10 minutes. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Seiryucho. Turn right onto Seiryucho, and the Demachi Myō-on-dō Temple will be on your left at 266-3 Seiryucho, Kamigyo Ward.

  • Bus

    From Kyoto Station, take bus number 205 towards Kitano Tenmangu. Get off at the Demachiyanagi stop. From the bus stop, walk north along the river for about 5 minutes until you reach the intersection with Seiryucho. Turn right onto Seiryucho, and you will find the temple on your left.
