Walking
If you are in the Higashiyama area, the easiest way to reach Nishiki Market is by walking. Head north towards Shijo Avenue. Once you reach Shijo Avenue, turn left and walk west for about 10-15 minutes. The market is located at Nakagyo Ward, Kyoto, 604-8055, just off the main road. Look for a narrow street on your right, which will lead you directly into the market. The bustling atmosphere and the smell of delicious food will guide you in!

Public Transportation (Bus)
If you're at a more distant location in Higashiyama, take the Kyoto City Bus. Find a bus stop nearby that services route 100 or 206. Board the bus and travel towards Shijo Kawaramachi. The fare is approximately 230 JPY. Once you arrive at the Shijo Kawaramachi stop, disembark and walk north for about 5 minutes. Look for the Nishiki Market entrance on your left.

Public Transportation (Subway)
You can also reach Nishiki Market via the Kyoto Subway. If you are near the Higashiyama Station, take the Tozai Line towards Uzumasa Tenjingawa. Transfer at Karasuma Oike Station to the Karasuma Line and travel to Shijo Station. The subway fare is around 260 JPY. Once at Shijo Station, exit and walk west along Shijo Avenue for about 5 minutes until you find the market entrance.
