Getting There

Train
From Nara Station, take the Yamatoji Line train towards Kyoto. The journey to Katsura Station takes about 45 minutes. Once you arrive at Katsura Station, take the West Exit. From there, it's a 15-minute walk to Katsura Imperial Villa. Head west on Katsura Station's main road, turn left at the first intersection, and continue straight until you reach the entrance of the villa.

Bus
From Nara, you can take the Nara Kotsu Bus (Route 123) towards Kyoto. Board the bus at either Nara Park or Nara Station Bus Terminal. The journey will take about 1 hour. Get off at Katsura Imperial Villa stop. The villa entrance is just a short walk from the bus stop, follow the signs leading you to the villa.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Nara. Ride west on Route 163, following the signs towards Kyoto. After approximately 12 kilometers, you will reach Katsura. Look for signs directing you to the Katsura Imperial Villa. The ride will take around 1 hour, depending on your pace.
