Getting There

    If you're driving from Sagami, head south on Route 134. Continue for approximately 45 minutes, following signs for Hakone. Once you reach Hakone, take the exit towards Lake Ashi (Ashi-ko) and follow the signs for Hakone-en. The parking area is available near the entrance, and parking fees apply, typically around 500 yen for a day.

    To reach Hakone-en via public transport, start at Sagami Station. Take the JR Sagami Line to Odawara Station (approximately 20 minutes). From Odawara Station, transfer to the Hakone Tozan Railway and take the train to Hakone-Yumoto Station (about 15 minutes). At Hakone-Yumoto, transfer to a bus heading to Motohakone (Hakone-en), which takes approximately 25 minutes. The bus fare is around 1,000 yen. Once you reach Motohakone, Hakone-en is a short walk from the bus stop.
