    From Settsu, head to the nearest train station, Settsu City Station. Take the JR Takarazuka Line towards Osaka. Change trains at the Osaka Station to catch the JR Kyoto Line. Get off at Kyoto Station. From Kyoto Station, transfer to the Karasuma Subway Line and ride to Kitaoji Station. Exit the station and take a bus number 204 or 205 from the bus terminal to Murasakino Daitokujicho. Walk approximately 10 minutes to reach Daitoku-ji Hoshun-in at 55 Murasakino Daitokujicho, Kita Ward, Kyoto. Be aware that train tickets can cost around ¥500-¥800, while the bus fare is approximately ¥230.

    If you are driving, start from Settsu and take the Route 171 towards Kyoto. Follow the signs for the Meishin Expressway and merge onto the expressway. Take the exit towards Kyoto, then follow signs to Daitoku-ji. Use a GPS navigation system to input the address: 55 Murasakino Daitokujicho, Kita Ward, Kyoto, 603-8231. Parking is available nearby, but please check for any parking fees that may apply, generally around ¥500-¥1000.
