    If you are driving, set your GPS to '〒603-8231 Kyoto, Kita Ward, Murasakino Daitokujicho, 53'. From Settsu, take the Hanshin Expressway and head towards Kyoto. You may need to pay a toll of approximately 500-1000 JPY depending on your entry point. Follow the signs for Route 1 and exit at Murasakino. There is parking available near the temple, but it may be limited.

    Start at Settsu Station and take the JR Takarazuka Line towards Osaka. Change at Osaka Station to the JR Kyoto Line and continue towards Kyoto Station. From Kyoto Station, transfer to the Karasuma Subway Line and get off at Kitaoji Station. From there, take bus number 204 or 205 towards Daitoku-ji. The bus fare is around 230 JPY. Get off at Daitoku-ji-mae bus stop and walk a short distance to the Daitoku-ji Butsuden.
