Getting There

From Shinano, head towards Route 18 and merge onto Route 148 towards Hakuba. After approximately 30 km, follow signs for Hakuba and take the exit onto Route 406. Continue on Route 406 until you reach Hokujo, Hakuba. The parking area for Mount Shirouma is located near the base of the mountain. Note that parking may incur a fee, typically around 500 to 1000 yen.
