Public Transportation (Bus and Train)
For public transportation, take a bus from Zao Onsen to Yamagata Station. This bus ride will take about 30 minutes. From Yamagata Station, take the Shinkansen (bullet train) to Sendai, which takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Sendai Station, exit the station and catch the Loople Sendai bus (a tourist bus) that stops at AER Observation Terrace. The bus fare is around ¥200, and it runs every 30 minutes.

Walking from Sendai Station
If you prefer to walk from Sendai Station, exit the station and head northwest towards the Aoba-dori Avenue. Continue walking for about 15 minutes (1.2 km). Follow the signs towards 'AER' and you will arrive at the AER Observation Terrace, located at 1 Chome-3-1 Central, Aoba Ward.
