Walking
If you're starting from downtown Lawrence, head east on Massachusetts Street. Walk until you reach 6th Street, then turn left. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Indiana Street. Turn right onto Indiana Street and continue until you reach the end of the street. At the end, turn left onto 7th Street and then immediately turn right onto Vermont Street. Follow Vermont Street until you reach the large intersection with 9th Street. Cross the street and keep heading straight, you will see the John Adams Courthouse on your left at 1 Pemberton Square.

From the downtown bus stop, take the Lawrence Transit Route 1 bus towards the East Lawrence area. Get off at the stop near 6th and Massachusetts Streets. From there, walk east on 6th Street until you reach Indiana Street, turn right, and continue walking until you reach the end of Indiana Street. Turn left onto 7th Street, then right onto Vermont Street. Walk straight and cross at the intersection with 9th Street. The courthouse will be visible on your left at 1 Pemberton Square.
