If you are starting from downtown Mount Pleasant, head east on Broadway St toward Ferndale Rd. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with US-17. Cross the road at the pedestrian crosswalk to ensure safety. Once across, turn left onto US-17 South. Walk along the sidewalk, and after approximately 0.5 miles, you'll find a bus stop where you can catch the Charleston Area Regional Transportation Authority (CARTA) bus number 40 towards Folly Beach. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes until you reach the Folly Beach stop. From there, walk east on E Ashley Ave for about 0.3 miles, and you will arrive at Morris Island Lighthouse, located at 1750 E Ashley Ave.

For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in Mount Pleasant. Start by heading east on Broadway St toward Ferndale Rd. Turn right onto US-17 and cycle along the designated bike lanes. After cycling for approximately 2 miles, you will reach the intersection to Folly Rd. Turn left onto Folly Rd and continue straight for about 4 miles. Then, make a right onto E Ashley Ave. The Morris Island Lighthouse will be on your left after a short ride down this road.
