If you are starting from the city center, head towards the High Street (Royal Mile). Walk down the Royal Mile towards the Scottish Parliament. At the junction with St. Mary’s Street, turn left and continue straight until you reach South Bridge. Cross the South Bridge and continue along the road until you reach the intersection with Cowgate.
