Walking
If you're starting from Edinburgh Waverley Train Station, exit the station onto Waverley Bridge. Head straight towards the Scott Monument and then follow the path to the left along Princes Street. Continue walking until you reach the end of Princes Street, where it meets the Mound. Ascend the Mound and at the top, turn left onto the Royal Mile. Walk along the Royal Mile until you reach St. Giles' Cathedral, then continue walking until you see Castle Wynd South on your right. Follow Castle Wynd South, and you will find Johnston Terrace Garden at 7/8 Castle Wynd S, which is a short walk from the Royal Mile.

If you are near the Edinburgh Castle, exit the castle grounds and walk down the Castle Rock. As you descend, you will find Johnston Terrace Garden on Castle Wynd South, located close to the base of the castle. The garden entrance is just a few steps away from the main path leading from the castle.

If you are at Holyrood Palace, head west along the Canongate until you reach the Royal Mile. Turn left onto the Royal Mile and walk until you reach St. Giles' Cathedral. From there, follow the previous directions to Castle Wynd South. Johnston Terrace Garden will be found just a short walk from St. Giles'.
