Walking
If you are starting from the city center, head towards the Royal Mile, which is a straight road leading up to Edinburgh Castle. Walk along the Royal Mile, passing shops and historic sites. Continue straight until you reach Castlehill. The entrance to Edinburgh Castle will be on your right, and you will see the impressive gates leading into the castle grounds.

From Waverley Bridge, take bus number 35 or 36 towards the West End. Get off at the stop named 'Grassmarket'. From there, walk up the hill towards Castlehill. Follow the signs for Edinburgh Castle, and you will reach the entrance in about 10 minutes.

If you're near Princes Street, take the tram towards Edinburgh Airport. Get off at the stop 'York Place'. From there, you can walk back towards the city center and follow the signs to the Royal Mile. Once you reach the Royal Mile, walk up towards Castlehill, and Edinburgh Castle will be directly in front of you.
