Getting There

Walking
From the Miyajima Ferry Terminal, head towards the main street (Omote-Sando). Walk straight for about 10-15 minutes until you reach the entrance of the Miyajima Ropeway. The entrance is well-signposted and is located at the base of the mountain.

Miyajima Ropeway
Purchase a ticket for the Miyajima Ropeway, which costs approximately 1,200 yen for a round trip. Board the ropeway to the first station (Shishi-iwa Station). Enjoy the scenic ride as you ascend the mountain. The ride takes around 10 minutes.

Hiking
Once you arrive at Shishi-iwa Station, transfer to the second ropeway (if you wish to take it) or begin your hike to Mount Misen Observatory. Follow the well-marked trail that leads to the observatory, which is about a 30-minute hike from here. The trail is moderately steep, but you will be rewarded with beautiful views along the way.
