A one-way bus fare from Asahikawa Station to Asahidake Onsen is approximately ¥1,300.

Renting a car in Asahikawa or at Asahikawa Airport provides the most flexibility for exploring Daisetsuzan National Park. From Asahikawa, follow Route 237 south towards Furano, then connect to various park access roads. Be aware that some roads may be closed during peak foliage-viewing season (mid-September) due to congestion. Parking is available at major trailheads and visitor centers, with some lots charging a fee.

To access higher elevations and hiking trails, consider using the Kurodake Ropeway from Sounkyo Onsen or the Asahidake Ropeway from Asahidake Onsen. A round trip on the Kurodake Ropeway costs ¥2,400, while the Asahidake Ropeway costs ¥3,200. From the ropeway stations, follow well-marked trails to explore the surrounding areas.
