Getting There

  • Train

    From Kyoto Station, take the JR Biwako Line (also known as the JR Kosei Line) towards Otsu Station. The journey takes approximately 25 minutes. Once you arrive at Otsu Station, exit the station and head towards the bus terminal located just outside the station.

  • Bus

    At the Otsu Station bus terminal, look for the bus stop for the 'Onjo-ji' bus (bus number 33 or 34). Board the bus and it will take you directly to Onjo-ji Temple. The bus ride takes about 15 minutes. Get off at the 'Onjo-ji' stop.

  • Walking

    Once you get off the bus at the 'Onjo-ji' stop, you will be directly in front of the entrance to Onjo-ji Temple. Follow the path leading up towards the temple complex. Kannon-do Hall is located within the temple grounds, and you will find clear signage directing you to the hall.
