Getting There

Train
Start your journey at Kyoto Station. Take the JR Biwako Line (also known as the Tōkaidō Line) towards Maibara. The journey takes around 30 minutes. Get off at Otsu Station. After exiting the station, follow the signs to the East Exit.

Bus
From Otsu Station, head to the bus terminal located just outside the East Exit. Look for the bus labeled 'Otsu City Loop Bus - Gozan Route' or any bus that goes towards Hieitsuji. The ride should take approximately 15 minutes. Get off at the 'Hieitsuji' stop.

After getting off at the 'Hieitsuji' bus stop, walk in the direction of the traffic. Continue straight for about 5 minutes until you reach a small intersection. Shoju-raigo-ji Temple is located at 2 Chome-4-17 Hieitsuji, Otsu, Shiga 520-0104. You will see the entrance to the temple on your right.
