Hiking
To reach Bird Woman Falls from the Many Glacier area, start your hike at the Many Glacier Hotel. From the hotel, follow the Grinnell Glacier Trailhead, which is well-marked. The trail will take you through beautiful meadows and provide stunning views of the surrounding peaks. After approximately 2 miles, look for a junction that directs you toward the Bird Woman Falls. Continue on this path, which can be steep in sections, for about another mile. The falls will come into view, cascading down the rocky cliffs.

If you're starting from the Apgar Visitor Center, take the park's shuttle bus (seasonal service) to the Many Glacier area. Once you arrive at the Many Glacier Hotel, follow the Grinnell Glacier Trail as outlined above. Please check the shuttle schedule in advance as it operates on a limited basis during the summer months.

Backpacking
For those looking for a more adventurous route, consider starting from the Swiftcurrent Pass Trailhead. This is a longer trek, about 6 miles to Bird Woman Falls. Follow the Swiftcurrent Pass Trail, which offers breathtaking views of the valley below. As you approach the falls, you will descend into a more wooded area where the falls are hidden behind the trees. Look for clearings where you can catch glimpses of the falls.
