If you're starting from Edinburgh Waverley Train Station, exit the station onto Market Street. Head west towards the Royal Mile. Once you reach the Royal Mile, turn left and walk along it. Continue down the Royal Mile until you reach the junction with South Bridge. Turn right onto South Bridge and continue straight. After a short walk, you will reach Grassmarket Square on your right, just past the crossroads with Cowgate.

From Edinburgh Castle, exit the castle grounds and walk down Castlehill. At the bottom, you will reach the Royal Mile. Turn left onto the Royal Mile and walk east until you reach the South Bridge. Turn right onto South Bridge, and then keep walking straight until you see Grassmarket Square on your right.

Turn right onto the Royal Mile and continue until you reach the junction with South Bridge. Turn right onto South Bridge and keep walking straight. From the Edinburgh Bus Station, take bus number 3, 8, or 29 towards the city center. Get off at the stop named 'Cowgate'. Walk down Cowgate and you will see Grassmarket Square just ahead on your left.

If you're near Holyrood Palace, walk west along Horse Wynd and then take a left onto the Royal Mile. Walk up the Royal Mile until you reach South Bridge. Turn left onto South Bridge and continue straight. Grassmarket Square will be on your right after you cross the intersection with Cowgate.
