Walking
From the entrance of the Apostolic Palace, head south towards the Vatican Gardens. Continue straight until you reach Via della Conciliazione, then turn left. Walk along this street until you reach the Tiber River. Cross the river using the Ponte Sant'Angelo bridge. Once across, continue walking straight and take a right onto Via di San Paolo alla Regola. Follow this street until you reach the intersection with Via delle Terme di Caracalla, where you will find the entrance to Circus Maximus on your left.

From the Apostolic Palace, walk to the nearest bus stop located on Via della Conciliazione. Take bus number 23 towards 'Piazza Risorgimento' and ride for 5 stops. Get off at 'Circo Massimo' stop. From there, it's a short walk to the entrance of Circus Maximus. Head southeast on Via del Circo Massimo, and you will find the historical site directly ahead.
