The Bunting Trail is a popular hiking destination located on the southwest side of Kanab, Utah. This roughly 4-mile roundtrip trail offers a moderate challenge, climbing approximately 860 feet from the valley floor to the top of Bunting Point. The well-maintained path provides hikers with stunning vistas of the surrounding landscape, characterized by red rock formations and expansive desert views. The trail begins with a gentle slope, gradually becoming more challenging as it approaches the Vermilion Cliffs. Approximately 0.5 miles into the hike, keep an eye out for a signed side wash leading to a sandstone boulder where preserved dinosaur tracks can be observed. Continuing on the main trail, hikers will navigate a steeper ascent to a saddle, which rewards them with panoramic views. From this point, the trail becomes less distinct, but hikers can explore along the ridgeline. Bunting Trail is named after James L.
