Getting There

Walking
From the center of Matavera, head southeast towards the main road (Ara Tapu). Continue walking along Ara Tapu until you reach the junction with the road leading to Muri. Turn right onto this road and follow it for about 1 kilometer. You will start to see signs for Muri Lagoon. Once you reach Muri, you can follow the pathway leading directly to the lagoon.

Bicycle
If you have rented a bicycle, start from the main area of Matavera and ride southeast on Ara Tapu. Keep pedaling until you reach the junction where you need to turn right onto the road towards Muri. Continue riding on this road for about 1 kilometer. Look out for the signs that direct you to Muri Lagoon, and follow the pathway leading to the lagoon.
