From the center of Matavera, head southeast towards the main road (Ara Tapu). Continue walking along Ara Tapu until you reach the junction with the road leading to Muri. Turn right onto this road and follow it for about 1 kilometer. You will start to see signs for Muri Lagoon. Once you reach Muri, you can follow the pathway leading directly to the lagoon.
Bicycle

If you have rented a bicycle, start from the main area of Matavera and ride southeast on Ara Tapu. Keep pedaling until you reach the junction where you need to turn right onto the road towards Muri. Continue riding on this road for about 1 kilometer. Look out for the signs that direct you to Muri Lagoon, and follow the pathway leading to the lagoon.
Public Transport (Bus)

You can take a local bus from Matavera to Muri. Locate the nearest bus stop in Matavera and board a bus heading towards Muri. The ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes. Once you arrive in Muri, exit the bus and follow the signs to Muri Lagoon, which is a short walk from the bus stop.
