Walking
Raro Reef Sub departs from Avatiu Harbour, a short 5-minute walk west from the Punanga Nui Markets in Avarua. From the markets, walk along the main road towards the harbor; the Raro Reef Sub departure point is easily visible.
Public Transport
The Clockwise and Anti-Clockwise buses circle the island and stop along the main road. Get off at the Punanga Nui Market stop and walk 5 minutes west to Avatiu Harbour. Bus fare is approximately NZ$5 one way.
Taxi
Taxis are available on Rarotonga and can be pre-booked. A taxi from Avarua to Avatiu Harbour is a short ride. Expect to pay a minimum fare of NZ$10-15. Several taxi companies operate on Rarotonga, including PriceTaxis (133 or +682 57303) and Dorothy's Taxi (+682 21400).
