Getting There

Walking
Starting from the center of Matavera, head east on the main road (Ara Tapu) that runs along the coast. Continue along this road for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction with Ara Metua Road. At this junction, turn left. After approximately 300 meters, you will see a small sign indicating the trailhead for Te Rua Manga on your right. Follow the marked trail that leads up the mountain.
