Getting There

  • Public Transport

    From Avarua, the main town, you can take the local bus service towards Muri. Inform the driver you wish to get off at Titikaveka Beach. The bus fare is approximately NZ$5 per adult. The bus ride takes around 15-20 minutes. Buses operate hourly in both clockwise and anticlockwise directions. Alternatively, from Rarotonga Airport, take the bus towards Muri; the bus ride will cost approximately NZ$5 and take around 24 minutes.

  • Taxi

    Taxis are available from Avarua or the airport. A taxi from Avarua to Titikaveka will cost approximately NZ$24-29. From the airport, the fare is approximately NZ$29-35. Taxis can be booked by phone. There are no designated taxi stands, and hailing a taxi is uncommon.
