Turn left onto E 1st Street N and walk to the intersection with N 4th Avenue E. At this intersection, turn right and continue walking until you reach the Newton Public Library on your left. From the library, continue straight as the street becomes N 5th Avenue E. After about two blocks, turn left onto E 3rd Street N. Then, turn right onto N 6th Avenue E, which will take you towards the Newton Arboretum & Botanical Gardens. Follow the signs for the park entrance to reach your destination.

  • Biking

    If you have access to a bike, start at the Newton Public Library. Head east on E 1st Street N until you reach N 4th Avenue E. Turn right onto N 4th Avenue E and continue on this road. When you reach E 2nd Street N, turn left, and then right onto N 6th Avenue E. Follow the bike path that leads towards the Newton Arboretum & Botanical Gardens. This route is bike-friendly and will take you directly to the park entrance.

    To reach the Back Bay Fens using public transport, locate the nearest bus stop to your current location in Newton. Take the bus that heads towards the Newton City Center. From the Newton City Center, transfer to Bus Line 6. Stay on the bus until you reach the stop closest to N 6th Avenue E and E 3rd Street N.
