From the Newton Public Library located at 1000 Commonwealth Avenue, head east on Commonwealth Avenue towards Newton Centre. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Washington Street. Turn right onto Washington Street and continue for another 0.3 miles. From the Newton Centre MBTA station, take the #60 bus towards Alewife Station. Stay on the bus for approximately 20 minutes and get off at the stop at Massachusetts Ave & Waterhouse St. Walk 2 minutes to the northeast to arrive at the Cambridge Common park.

Start from the Newton Centre MBTA station and head towards Commonwealth Avenue. Follow Commonwealth Avenue heading east for about 0.5 miles. Turn right onto Washington Street and bike for 0.3 miles. At the intersection with Waterhouse Street, turn left and continue for another 0.2 miles. You will arrive at Cambridge Common park at the intersection of Waterhouse St & Massachusetts Ave.
