Walking
If you are starting from the Arashiyama Station, exit the station and head towards the main street. Walk straight along the river until you reach the Togetsukyo Bridge. Cross the bridge and continue walking along the path. Follow the signs for 'Iwatayama Monkey Park.' The entrance is located at the base of the hill, where you will start your hike up to the park.

If you're near the Arashiyama area, you can take a bus from the nearest bus stop, such as the Arashiyama Koen (Park) stop. Board a bus heading towards 'Iwatayama' and get off at the Iwatayama Monkey Park stop. From the bus stop, it's a short walk to the park entrance. Please note that the bus fare is typically around 230 yen.

For those who enjoy a bit of adventure, you can hike directly to Arashiyama Monkey Park Iwatayama. Start from the base of the hill near the entrance and follow the marked trail. The hike takes about 20-30 minutes, and you'll be rewarded with beautiful views of Kyoto along the way. There is no entrance fee for the trail.
