Getting There

Train
From Kyoto Station, take the JR San-in Line (also known as the JR Sagano Line) towards Saga-Arashiyama Station. This journey takes about 15 minutes. Once you arrive at Saga-Arashiyama Station, exit the station and follow the signs for the park.

Walking
After exiting Saga-Arashiyama Station, head south towards the river. You will see a bridge called the Togetsu-kyo Bridge. Walk across the bridge to the other side of the river. Once across, turn left and walk along the riverbank for about 10-15 minutes until you reach the entrance to the Arashiyama Monkey Park Iwatayama.

Upon reaching the entrance, you will see a sign indicating the trail to the monkey park. The hike up to the park takes about 20-30 minutes and is moderately steep. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way.
