Car
If you are driving from Nara city, take Route 163 north towards Kyoto. Continue on Route 163 until you reach the intersection with Route 1. Merge onto Route 1 and follow the signs for Kyoto. After approximately 35 kilometers, take the exit toward Higashiyama Ward. Follow the signs for Shimokawaracho. As you approach the address 526-2 Shimokawaracho, look for parking options nearby, as street parking can be limited.

Public Transportation
From Nara Station, take the Kintetsu Nara Line to Kyoto Station. This journey takes about 45 minutes. Once at Kyoto Station, transfer to the Kyoto City Bus (Line 100 or 206) heading towards Higashiyama. Get off at the 'Kiyomizu-michi' bus stop. From there, it's a short walk: head down Kiyomizu-zaka Street, then turn left onto Shimokawaracho. Continue straight for about 10 minutes, and you will arrive at Ryōzen Kannon Temple at 526-2 Shimokawaracho.
