If you are starting from Nara Park, head southeast towards the entrance of the park. Follow the path that leads you towards the Nara National Museum. Once you reach the museum, exit the museum grounds and turn left onto the main road, Sanjo-dori. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Takabatake-dori. Turn right onto Takabatake-dori and walk for about 10 minutes. You will see Shiga Naoya's Old Residence on your left at Takabatakecho, Nara, 630-8301.
