Walking
If you are starting from the center of Black River, head east on Rue des Pêcheurs toward Rue du Parc. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Royal Road. Turn left onto Royal Road and walk for about 10 minutes. You should pass local shops and cafés. After you cross the bridge over the river, continue straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Route A2. Walk along this route for about 15 minutes, and you will start to see signs for Hampden Sugar Estate. The estate is located at C7R3+3W2 in Wakefield, which is about a 25-minute walk from the center of Black River.
Public Transport (Bus)
From Black River, head to the nearest bus stop located on Royal Road. Look for buses heading toward Wakefield. When you board the bus, inform the driver that you want to go to Hampden Sugar Estate. The bus ride should take about 15-20 minutes. Get off at the Wakefield stop, and you will need to walk approximately 5 minutes to reach Hampden Sugar Estate. Head east on the main road, and you will see the estate entrance on your right.
Cycling
If you have access to a bicycle, you can cycle from Black River to Hampden Sugar Estate. Start by heading east on Rue des Pêcheurs and then take a left onto Royal Road. Continue straight for about 2 kilometers along Route A2. You will pass through some beautiful landscapes along the way. Once you reach the roundabout, take the second exit and continue cycling for another kilometer. The estate will be on your right. The entire journey should take around 20-25 minutes, depending on your cycling speed.
