Walking
If you are starting from the center of Black River, head east on Main Road. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer. You will pass some local shops and cafes on your left. Keep an eye out for the signs indicating the direction to Lacovia. After 1 kilometer, you will reach a roundabout. Take the second exit onto Lacovia Road. Follow Lacovia Road for about 2 kilometers, and you will see the entrance to Jamaica Zoo on your right.
Public Transport
From Black River, walk to the nearest bus stop on Main Road. Look for a bus heading towards Lacovia; these buses are usually marked with their destination. The ride should take about 15-20 minutes. Once you reach the Lacovia bus stop, walk straight for about 300 meters, and Jamaica Zoo will be on your left. Be sure to check the bus schedule for return times.
Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, start from the center of Black River and ride east on Main Road. You will travel approximately 1 kilometer, passing various local attractions. Once you reach the roundabout, take the second exit onto Lacovia Road and continue for about 2 kilometers. The zoo will be on your right. There are usually bike racks available near the entrance.
