If you are starting from Edinburgh Waverley Station, exit the station and head towards the main street, Princes Street. Once on Princes Street, turn right and walk towards the Scott Monument. After passing the monument, continue straight to the end of the street where you will reach the junction with Lothian Road. Cross the road and walk towards the west along Lothian Road until you reach the junction with Johnston Terrace. Turn left onto Johnston Terrace and continue walking until you see Castlecliff Hotel. The statue of Frederick Duke of York and Albany is located on the Esplanade just a short walk from the hotel.

If you are near the Royal Mile, head down the Royal Mile towards the Scottish Parliament. Continue past the Parliament and turn left onto Horse Wynd. At the end of the street, turn right onto Johnston Terrace. Keep walking until you reach Castlecliff Hotel. The statue of Frederick Duke of York and Albany is located on the Esplanade, just a short distance from the hotel.
