If you are driving, start from the Mount Field National Park Visitor Centre. Head south on Lake Dobson Road for approximately 3.5 km, then turn left onto Scotts Peak Dam Road. Continue on Scotts Peak Dam Road for about 5 km until you reach the parking area for the Creepy Crawly Trail. The trailhead begins just off the parking area.

To reach Creepy Crawly Trail via public transport, take a bus from Hobart to the Mount Field National Park. The bus service usually runs a few times a day. Once you arrive at the Mount Field National Park, you will need to walk to the Visitor Centre and then follow Lake Dobson Road south for approximately 3.5 km. From there, turn left onto Scotts Peak Dam Road and walk about 5 km to reach the trailhead. Note that this is a substantial walk, so be prepared for a hike before you even reach the trail.

If you prefer to cycle, start at the Mount Field National Park Visitor Centre. Take Lake Dobson Road south for approximately 3.5 km, then turn left onto Scotts Peak Dam Road. The ride to the Creepy Crawly Trail parking area is about 5 km from this point, and the road is relatively well-maintained but can be steep in sections.
