Getting There

• Bus

  From Dubrovnik, head to the main bus station located at Gruž Harbor. Purchase a ticket to Ston at the ticket counter or from the bus driver. Buses to Ston run regularly, so check the schedule for the next departure. The journey takes approximately 50 minutes. Once you arrive in Ston, exit the bus terminal and walk towards the town center. The Stonske zidine (Ston Walls) are easily visible and can be reached in about 10 minutes on foot.

• Boat

  For a scenic route, consider taking a boat from Dubrovnik to nearby towns such as Mali Ston. From the Old Town, walk to the Harbor and look for boat services to Mali Ston. The boat ride offers beautiful views and takes about 1 hour. Upon arriving at Mali Ston, you can walk to Ston, which is approximately a 30-minute stroll along the waterfront path.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Dubrovnik to Ston. Simply hail a taxi or arrange for one through your accommodation. The ride will take around 45 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to confirm the fare before starting your journey, as taxis in Dubrovnik may not have meters.

• Walking

  For the adventurous, if you are near the village of Ston, you can enjoy a long walk from nearby locations. Start from the closest village or town, following local paths or roads leading towards Ston. The walk is scenic, but ensure you have a map or GPS for guidance, as paths can be unmarked.
