From the intersection of Route 1A and Ocean Avenue in York Beach, walk north along Ocean Avenue towards Short Sands Beach. The beach will be on your left, with Ellis Park bordering the beach. The walk is approximately 0.2 miles and takes about 5 minutes. There are sidewalks along Ocean Avenue, making for an easy and accessible walk. No costs involved.

From I-95, take Exit 7 for York/Ogunquit. Follow Route 1 north for approximately 4 miles. Turn right onto Route 1A (York Street). Continue on Route 1A for about 2 miles to reach York Beach. Metered parking is available along Route 1A near Short Sands Beach and in the Short Sands parking lot. Parking costs $1 per hour. Parking can be limited during peak season.
