Getting There

Walking
From the main dock in Puerto Ayora, head northeast along Avenida Charles Darwin. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the junction with Avenida Baltra. Turn left onto Avenida Baltra and follow it for about 500 meters. You will see a sign for Playa El Garrapatero on your right. Follow this road for approximately 2 kilometers; it will lead you directly to the beach.

Taxi (or Taxi Boat)
If you prefer not to walk, you can take a taxi from any point in Puerto Ayora. Simply tell the driver you want to go to Playa El Garrapatero. The taxi ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Alternatively, you can take a taxi to the nearby dock and hire a taxi boat, which can also take you to the beach directly.

You can rent a bicycle in Puerto Ayora. Start at the main dock and head northeast along Avenida Charles Darwin for about 1 kilometer. Then, turn left onto Avenida Baltra.
