Car
If you're driving from central Kyoto, take the Kyoto City Loop Line (Route 1) and head towards Higashiyama Ward. Follow signs for Kiyomizu-dera. You will eventually turn onto Kiyomizu-zaka Street, which leads directly to the temple area. Parking is available nearby, but it can be limited, especially during peak tourist seasons. Expect to pay around 500-1,000 yen for parking.

Public Transportation - Bus
From Kyoto Station, take the Kyoto City Bus number 100 or 206. Both buses will take you to the Kiyomizu-michi stop. The journey takes about 15-20 minutes. After getting off, follow the signs leading to Kiyomizu-dera, which is approximately a 15-minute walk uphill. The bus fare is around 230 yen.

Public Transportation - Train and Bus
If you are near the Keihan Railway line, take a train to Kiyomizu-Gojo Station. After exiting the station, transfer to the Kyoto City Bus number 86 or walk approximately 20 minutes to reach Kiyomizu-dera. If you opt for the bus, the fare will be about 230 yen. If walking, be prepared for some uphill paths.
