From Kyoto Station, take the Kyoto City Bus #100 or #206 towards Kiyomizu-dera. The journey takes about 20-30 minutes. Get off at the Kiyomizu-dera bus stop. From there, follow the signs leading to Kiyomizu-dera, which is a short walk uphill. Chawanzaka is located nearby.

Take the Kyoto Subway from Kyoto Station to Karasuma Oike Station. Transfer to the Tozai Line and travel to Higashiyama Station. Exit the station and walk towards Kiyomizu-dera, which takes about 15-20 minutes. As you approach Kiyomizu-dera, you'll find Chawanzaka along the way.

If you are already near Gion, you can walk to Chawanzaka. Head towards Kiyomizu-dera, following the signs. The walk will take approximately 20-30 minutes. As you walk up the hill, you'll pass various shops and cafes, making for a pleasant stroll.
